Monifieth Athletic Community 3G Development
Project Status: 🟢 Public Consultation
Monifieth Athletic Football Club is progressing proposals for a major improvement to its community football facilities at Riverview Park.
The project proposes the development of a new 11-a-side 3G artificial football pitch, replacing the existing central grass pitch. The development would include 5-metre perimeter fencing, six floodlights, associated drainage infrastructure and landscaping, creating a high-quality all-weather facility capable of supporting football and community activity throughout the year.
The project represents the next stage in the development of the Riverview facilities. Monifieth Athletic currently operates three grass pitches alongside an existing 7-a-side 3G pitch, with participation and wider community use having increased significantly since the existing artificial pitch was installed.
The proposed development would provide greater reliability and year-round access to high-quality sporting infrastructure, supporting Monifieth Athletic's youth teams and wider football programmes, while also creating opportunities for local schools, sports clubs, fitness providers, wellbeing groups and other community organisations.
